JOHNNIE WALKER 50CL BLENDERS’ BATCH SWEET PEAT

Sweet Peat offers a harmonious blend of sweetness and smoke, with prominent notes of caramelized sugar, ripe fruits, and a touch of spice. The smoky character is inspired by the warmth of bonfire embers, derived from the Caol Ila whisky used in the blend. 

The blend features whisky from the Caol Ila distillery, known for its peaty character, combined with sweet malts from Speyside distilleries like Glendullan, Cardhu, and others. The whisky is matured in refill casks, which contribute to the smooth, lingering peat smoke. 

This whisky is one of the experimental releases from the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch series, highlighting the blending team’s exploration of unique flavor combinations. 

Sweet Peat can be enjoyed neat, in mixed drinks, or as a base for cocktails, offering a distinctive and smooth Scotch experience. It’s particularly well-suited for those who enjoy a balance of smoky and sweet flavors in their whisky. 

The whisky has a rich golden color with amber highlights, suggesting careful maturation in oak casks. 

The aroma presents a blend of soft smoky notes, hints of aged wood, and a delicate sweetness with notes of ripe fruits and vanilla. 

The palate is soft and velvety, with a balanced interplay of peat, malt, and grain notes.It has a subtle sweetness, reminiscent of honey and nuts, complementing the smoky character.
