Description
The Macallan Gold 70cl is a single malt Scotch whisky, formerly part of the 1824 series and now released as the Double Cask Gold. It’s known for its burnished gold color and a flavor profile that combines classic Macallan characteristics with influences from American oak. The whisky is matured in a combination of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks.
- Nose: Lemon citrus, orange peel, vanilla, dark chocolate, and subtle floral and oak notes.
- Palate: Citrus, boiled sweets, hints of ginger and cinnamon, and toasted apples.
- Finish: Medium sweet, malty, and slightly dry.
- ABV: 40%.
- Volume: 70cl.
- Casks: American and European Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks.
- Formerly: Known as Macallan Gold from the 1824 series.
- New Release: Replaced the original Macallan Gold in the Double Cask range.
The Macallan Gold Double Cask is best enjoyed neat or with a few ice cubes to mellow the experience.
