The Macallan Quest is a single malt Scotch whisky that pays homage to the extensive journey Macallan undertakes to source the best oak for their whisky aging. It’s a blend of four different cask types: American bourbon casks, hand-picked sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, and hogsheads.The name “Quest” reflects the lengths Macallan goes to in acquiring these casks.Â
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Soft citrus fruits, rounded apple and lemon, vanilla sweetness, and subtle oak.Â
- Palate: Apple mixed with ginger and dried fruits, nutmeg, and cinnamon.Â
- Finish: Great length, soft, light fruit, and medium sweet, balanced with sweet vanilla oak.Â
